Conservation Farmer
Each year the Conservation Farmer/ Sportsman is selected by the Big Stone Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors. The individual or family farm chosen to receive the award demonstrates a concern for soil and water resources and uses farming practices to address those concerns. Wildlife considerations also play a part of the plan for the farm.
